  • Collection from Whangarei CBD and Whangarei Airport
  • Mount Manaia, Mount Aubrey
  • The Early Settlers Memorial
  • Urquharts Bay- for Smugglers Cove
  • Peach Cove Track
  • Ocean Beach
  • Followed by: Chocolate Tasting at ‘Flutes’.

Chocolate Tasting at Flutes:

After the tour we stop for Chocolate Tasting at Flutes Luxury Accommodation: beautifully situated in the shadow of Mount Manaia, with a stunning panoramic view over McLeod Bay.

Morning or afternoon tea/coffee will be served with a delicious surprise and our host, Kay, will talk about the Chocolatier’s art. She will briefly describe the processes involved, answer your questions, and give you the opportunity to taste 6-10 different flavours of delicious hand-made chocolates.

If you wish you can then buy your favourites to take away to share with others... Or maybe not!!

Our aim is to provide you with a taste of one of Northland’s hidden gems, Whangarei Heads.

This short tour will show you how much the area has to offer. We are sure it will make you want to come back for a longer stay next time.

  • Tours will ultimately operate twice daily, (morning and afternoon, subject to demand.) In our opening phase we will operate on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Other days may be available on request:please make an enquiry
  • A minimum of two passengers is needed, with a maximum of 10.
  • The round trip including time for tasting, and refreshments should be about 3 hours
